Berlin, Grassroots Movement – and how to build your own network in the sky from Faust on Vimeo.
The station at Segenskirche was originally installed in 2004. The expansion since 2013 is funded by the non-profit association Förderverein Freie Netzwerke e.V. and the MABB (Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg). The station offers the transit of traffic between free wifi networks according to the Pico Peering Agreement. It is an important node in the BerlinBackBone (BBB) for the Freifunk community in Berlin.
